Capital One Many Issues !

Applied for a Venture a week ago approved / activated & combined with my VentureOne credit limit when up on my new account but cash advance limit stayed the same ?? Now the closed account keeps showing up as closed when i log in how can i make it dissapear from the site & app ?? Im also being harassed every single time i log in to verify a code" this is annoying the crap out of me any ideas guys ?? Also EO said chances of a lower permanet reduction in APR are slim to none **bleep** lol as well a CLI not possible since i combine the card too for now Whats happened to Cap1 doesn't seem like then or maybe it just me.

When you combine cards, you can't get a CLI for 6 months. This has been posted on this forum often and regularly.

Cash advance limit has nothing to do with credit limit -- Capital One likely has an internal limit for you and you're at your limit there. Why would you ever do a cash advance on a credit card, though? It destroys your interest accrual until all balances are paid.

Call a CSR to get the old account removed. It will not fall off by itself and unlike other banks (Chase) you can't "hide" it...

ABC I never said i was just an observation i got multiple PLOC for that.Just wondering why it didnt when up all my cap1 cards ofter me at least 50% in cash of the total available credit limit except this one.& sorry I wasn't aware of the CLi rule even though doesn't make sense.But u know how it is.

Plaidington i did no luck said it was gonna fall off by itself i asked to un-enroll my username & everything when i re-sign up again it was still showing up.i too have a feeling it aint gonna fall off by itself --.--

I have an old secured card account that is showing as well ... been closed for more than a year now.

It's an annoyance, but I wouldn't call it a problem ...

OP, please settle down a bit.

The account WILL fall off on its own. When I traded my car in last November, it took a couple weeks before the account fell off and stopped showing on my app and online. Once it disappeared, that was it. Never seen it again. It will go away though. Patience grasshopper.

Grasshopper to the guy with an 803 fico 8 accross the board ? Lol im cool just killing time at work and also the idea is always to see people with solutions or work-arounds that way others can learn too.

The closed accounts stick around so you can go back and access the information they contain, such as past statements. Figure that for every person that's annoyed by the accounts continuing to appear, someone else would be upset if they were gone.

Exactly.. Of course I would still want my recently closed account info still accessible. How is that a problem or annoyance?

I've had nothing but a good experience with Cap One.

If you are having to verify a code every time you log in, that typically means you are logging in under various IP addresses. Perhaps you're using a VPN? That's for your protection; a feature I appreciate. However, I could see how that would be annoying if you are logging in on the same device(s)/IP.

Same iphone same PC same IP nothing's change on my end.for me personal if i want a statement from my old account for X reason i rather call & ask for it. I just don't think it's necessary to see accounts on the main page thats aren't currently active its un-necessary info that dont need or want to see and can be a bit confusing since they look the same now the CRS suggested i change the image on the card on something thats close give me a break lol !!!

I combined my QS and QS1 in February. My old, closed account still shows. They told me I'd have to create a new username, etc to get it to go away but it's not worth it to me.

They build their sytems to serve their population in general not a single individual.

However, the ability to hide the account would benefit group that want to see it and those who don't, they just may not see it as a worthwile investment. The group that does not want to have to set a preference and have it happen automatically would have to go pound sand lol.
