Also Amex is famous for 3X CLI after 6 months.

The QS and Venture are different products, so it's not surprising that you'd see different starting terms between them. Also, profile strength has a lot to do not only with where you start out with CO. But also where they'll let you take your account over time.

Discover: $27,800 - has grown over time

CSR: $30,000 - was an instant online approval

Capital One Venture - $30,000
BofA Cash Rewards - $25,000
Synchrony car care - $25,000
CSP - $20,200

Like others have mentioned, it really depends on your profile. Not everyone is created equal in the credit game.

All of those limits above were grown, except the Venture and CSP (those are my SL for the cards)

In terms of which credit card gives you the highest limit. I always felt that cap1 starting lines could start huge. Seems like Amex and BofA tend to be generous with the CLI request and ability to grow the card. Maybe discover as well?

Capital One : $49,500 grew over time, including consolidations.
Amex BCP $36,000 grew over time but fairly quickly.
Lowes: $35,000 will grow over night like most Synchrony cards! Lol
Merrill Lynch +: $33,800 grows fairly quickly
Citi DC: $30,200 grows slooowly..but worth the aggravation.
Penfed Cash rewards: $28,000 grows very fast!
Navy Fed Cash rewards: $26,000 grows very fast.
USAA cash rewards: $25,000 grows quickly over time.
NASA cash rewards: $25,000 original SL doesn't go higher than $30k.
BBVA Compass NBA: $19,500 SL hasn't moved in a year and a half. CC being discontinued soon. They give great APRs compared to most regional banks.

stopped asking for CLI while ago, this is more I ever need. With patience and over time many cards can grow a lot. Even with SP only.

Big banks, exclusive cards and business cards. I've seen some with 6 and 7 digit limits. Surprisingly, they often have a high daily balance.

Highest limit and highest SL are totally different as Chase just gave me a 25.9K SL when Amex was born it was a 10K limit just like BOA just approved me for. If you work your magic and stay on top of things you can make the worst card grow significantly if you put in some effort.

Slate was a carry over from WAMU and just sits there collecting FICO's for me at this point. In about 6 months if I don't see some luv from Chase I'll hit them up for a CLI across all 3 and see what happens at that point.

I've been seeing good things with BOA and that's the reasoning behind picking one up for a test drive even though I don't tend to go big bank at this point. Chase was more of a theory tester based on where you get bucketed when you first apply i.e. no CLI's and higher APR's. I tried to test this with Crap1 and they said no, so I said get out!

Looking at APR's you can see the older (Slate) coming in at 17.49% and more recent and dilligent APR attacks have a median of <15% and of course my 2 CU accounts with <10% that beat the pants off of anything else in the market under typical circumstances.

Amex is a beast growing i had that limit in less than a yr started at $6k.Venture by Cap1 just starts off big right away if you want to start your high limits quest start there best chance in my opinion.I'm bored tho" nothing i need or want my profile is covered
