WELL I CANT SAY IT ENOUGH. WHEN I OPENED MY CARDS I GOT A $6500 LIMIT ON VISA AND $1500 ON MC..I OPENED THESE IN JUNE..SO I DECIDED TO CALL LAST NIGHT TO SEE IF I COULD GET A CLI AT LEAST ON THE MC SINCE IT WAS ONLY $1500, I WANTED THEM TO AT LEAST B EQUAL. THE PERSON I GOT ASKED HOW MUCH I WANTED UP TO $50000..SO I'M THINKING SMALL, SHE SAID IF THEY CANT GIVE U WHAT U WANT THEY COUNTER, SO I SAID I WANT AT LEAST $5000, SHE THEN CAME BACK AND SAID YOU WERE APPROVED FOR A TOTAL OF $12500, DO U WANT TO ACCEPT??!! I WAS LIKE HUH SERIOUSLY I THOUGHT I WAS HEARING THINGS..

I THOUGHT THAT WAS COMBINING THE 2 WHICH I DIDNT ASK TO DO SO I LOOKED ONLINE AFTER I SPOKE TO HER AND THAT ONE CARD WAS $12500 OTHER WAS $6500 AFTER I GOT THAT CLI I DIDNT BOTHER TO ASK FOR ONE ON THE OTHER CARD DIDNT WANT TO PUSH MY LUCK AND SHE SAID IT WAS A SOFT, I'M GUESSING IF I WANTED MORE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A HARD.

THIS IS MY FIRST DOUBLE DIGIT LIMIT!! YAHOO!

I THINK NAVY IS EASIER I'VE READ HERE PENFED IS OR HAS GOTTEN PICKY..I GOT MY NAVY FED IN JUNE 2008 AND MY SCORES WERE LOWER THAN THEY ARE NOW..AND YES THEY ARE BK FRIENDLY I HAVE ONE FROM 2004

NFCU won't necessarily raise the other card. They give you what they consider a *limit* on what they'll offer you.

I've heard it's up to 40% of income....anyone want to chime in?

One more month for us to ask for cli!!!!

OP: CONGRATULATIONS! Was this a hard or soft and what is your spending habits and payment habits?

what do you mean they wont necessarily raise the limit on the other card? i mean i could have asked but thought i didnt want to press my luck..per the rep it was a soft not hard but i will keep look at my report or if i get any alerts..on my $1500 mc limit b4 it was raised i would spend a few hundred dollars a month and pay it off in full or leave a small balance..i actually used the visa more bc the limit was higher so i havent put as much on this card as the visa but now i will since the limit is so much higher

Why do you have to paydown the Flagship first? When NFCU does a review of existing accounts, they look to see if the account has been kept in good standing - paid on time, not over the limit - and they will ask you to verify your annual income.

If your Flagship is current, never late - go for it.

The csr will be able to tell you right away what you are qualified for.

Congrats! Is it true they only pull EQ...my EQ is at 661. Also where were you on all three scores in June 08 when you applied and how did you get two cards?

is it true they qualify based on i40% of income? Is that gross? Also I applied yesteday and it is at a review committee, they asked for my paystubs. I faxd them in...I have my fingers crossed.
