Thats awesome. I have had mine for 2. years with 300/600 secured. Did you ask them or did it just happen automatically?

Today I finally graduated my capital one secured platinum card.

It's been about a year since I filed for the card with a 300 dollar deposit. After 6 months I became partially unsecured with a CLI of 300 for a total of 600. Now today I am fully unsecured with a credit limit of 600 and my 300 dollars refunded to my balance.

I feel I had to make this post because I've seen so many people ask if this card graduates and some even giving up on it and closing the account.

All I did was never use over 30 percent of my credit line and pay it off consistently every time I get close to my 30 percent. Sometimes I would do that twice a month and just pay it off with my paycheck then rinse and repeat.

I hope this was helpful. I'm super stoked to be fully unsecured!

Congrats!

I've had my secured Cap1 now for close to 3yrs with no unsecure offers.

I think I've read here that Cap1 started graduating cards that were approved maybe in the last two years or so.

Apparently, a lot of us who got our cards before that are pretty much stuck unsecured, which is a total bummer.
