When it came out I chatted with them asked if to PC to it from my QS and they said I had no offer available at this time.

It doesn't seem like it's possible yet, but that could change in the future. Cap One seems a bit limited by what 'the system" can do.

I agree, people who do resurrections dont get the same credit they used to! Seriously though, I see them as unsung heroes on here and other boards where good questions go unanswered. I'm also very interested in finding out if this is possible.

The one member who got the "no offer available" could be for a number of reasons, such as certain actions on the card within the last 6 months, or the very age of the card. Without asking these questions, we don't know. SRE could be right that it just isnt available yet, but as of now there isnt enough data on here either way. Is anyone interested in being a lab rat?

I agree that this is still a valid thread. I think it will be interesting to see if there are any new developments regarding a possible PC option after this card has been around for a year or so.

Also, I was a bit surprised to not see more approval threads for this card. It seems that there is a lot of PC interest, but not much interest in applying fresh. I'm guessing that may be due to the "dreaded" triple pull and also due to the fact that there are other 3% (or higher) dining cards available.

I'm firmly in the 'PC only' camp for this card.

If I decide to take three HPs for a new account, it will be for another Venture with a $400 new account bonus... I can't think of any reason to take a triple-pull for this. I would PC one of my Quicksilvers, though.

PC is 'product change'; it's when you get an issuer to change your account to a different type but you keep the account history and usually (but not always) the account number as well.

While this card originally looked appealing to me, tomorrow I will get my Citi Costco out of the locked post office(it riles me that it's in there and I cant get it). I bring it up because it also has 3% dining, and in addition has 4% on gas. I'm not trying to be unhumble, but it seems like it's at least equal, if you discount the "annual fee" of Costo membership...but unlike other fees, there is actual value to said membership for many people. I'm not sure if I'm one of them, but I will give it a go. 2% off of everything in the store.

I dont mean to be off topic(even though it was dead), but I think direct comparisons to alternatives can be healthy for discussion. I got said card witha BK7 on my report, so it doesnt seem like it would be that much harder than this card to obtain. Is it? I had forgotten about the 3% dining(I got it for the 4% gas mainly), so that's why I came to this thread after a night of no sleep(I'm not exactly on point).

I suppose I can still be interested if I find my savings dont equal the cost of annual membership. CapOne had really done me a solid, and I like to spread the word of their goodness. I'd still love to hear about folks' experience with this card. Somone on here must have it?

I asked to PC my QS about a month ago and was given the "no offer available" line just like everyone else.

I think the reason there's so much PC interest in this card is most people with cash back car portfolios already have a QS and this card is a better deal as part of a portfolio. And yes, the triple pull is a deterrent to new apps.

Hey guys.... np. Negative on the luck question. I tried 3X in the last 2 months or so... and no go. I tried 3X because in my experience CapOne employees give different answers depending on who you speak with. I may try again, but not for a few more months. I would imagine at some point the will allow it. Hopefully someone will update this thread if they get it approved.

Just to throw out there, sams club mastercard is also 3% on dining (and 5% on gas.) Lots of costco posters but I didnt see any sams.
