If she has the green check mark next to the CSP under Offers in her online account, then it absolutely a solid offer that bypasses 5/24. I was over 5/24 when I got my CSP and Slate that way.

My GF has a FU with $8500 limit. She has had it for about 16 months. The initial CL was 3500 and with a hard pull this past April it was bumped up to the current 8500. She is looking into getting a CSP (prefers CSR though!) which shows she is preapproved for when she logs into her account. It only asks to update her income. What is the best way to get the CSP? Just update her income and have both cards or to PC the FU to a CSP by moving 5k to the CSP and keeping 3500 on the FU? Would the hard pull count be the same either way?

Irish, that was great info and it all makes sense to me. Another question, she just realized she is 6/24, is that an issue if she outright applies for the CSP so she can keep the CFU?

I tend to feel that apping for the new Chase product generally is the way to go over the PC for two reasons. Already mentioned, the bonus. Second, you'll almost always end up with better limits between the cards and remember the limits can be moved.
