I just added up my payments made and then to that added my current balance and then subtracted the 69 dollar annual fee (Southwest Card)

I'm speaking about the CSP in particular, but I suppose this question pertains to any Chase product that offers a spend X in 3 months sign on bonus. Obviously one can simply add their spend from month to month and see when they hit it, but is there some sort of indication when signed into your account that Chase verifies that you've met it? I hit my $4k in 3 months spend for the CSP with a couple of weeks to spare, but don't see any indication on my account that I've met the terms of the bonus, which does worry me a bit. Any insight on this from those that have achieved a Chase sign on bonus?

Nope, no indication that you have met the requirement. You'll just have to wait until your statement cuts.

I believe you can call in and check.

As for when I applied for the CFU and CF, I knew I had met the requirement because I simply added up what I spent on both cards. Then my 30K points was there on the next statement.

Does it show immediately on the next statement? My payment due date is the 23rd (3 days from now) and my statements cut on the 26th. I just met my spend in the last few days. Would I expect to see the credit on this statement that cuts in under a week?

Check your "Earning on next statement" box on the Ultimate Rewards page. I hit my Freedom spending requirement earlier this month, called a week later and the CSR told me I should see it next statement but she wasn't sure. I logged on and started looking around myself and found an extra $150 on the rewards page, don't know how long it has been sitting there though.

It's been a year, but if I remember correctly, you can track it by watching the pending Ultimate Rewards points. I agree with the advice to keep spending even after you think you've hit the target for the signup bonus.

My 12,451 points were earned all via 3x (except one charge for ~$30 because the &!*#^@*$@ merchant didn't code themselves as dining), which if you divide by 3 is ~$4150. I got a $300 credit on the first statement and I still got the sign-up bonus on the statement, which if the credit counted against I would have missed for that statement (4150-300 = 3850).

Hey Brutal,

There is definitely a way to tell if you reached your spend. In the CSR/CSP account on Chase page click on the blue bar in the bottom left that says "Ultimate Rewards - Use Your Points". On the next page in the bottom left it will tell you how many credits you have earned this cycle and how man you will get when the statment cuts, it says "Earning on the Next Statement: xxxx pts"

Right when I hit my spend that number changed to include the sign-up bonus, and when the statement cut the points were awarded.

Hope that helps.
