Discover cli via hp

A recent comment by a fellow poster got me to thinking. I know getting a cli with Discover by hp might seem the antithesis ( hope thats the word lol) of what most of try to do here in Ficoland, meaning going for Discover cli via sp, soft pull, method.

Has anyone been successful doing this method? Or is there any truth that they dont accept hp method for increasing ones credit limit. Thanks for any input and or stories to be told

Surely by "fellow poster" you don't mean me. I'm merely an "Established Contributor," by no means Senior. Since it's relevant to the question, I hope no one minds if I just copy and paste my reply in another thread:

I called immediately after my last measly $500 which was like 6 months ago and spoke to someone in lending who really didn't seem to want to talk to me. (My experience with bank analysts: BOA is like chatting with an old friend, Chase is like an IRS audit gone wrong, and Discover is the girl who's really annoyed that you haven't picked up on the fact that she's just not interested.) I volunteered to take a HP since I'd actually utilize a $25-30k line and he wouldn't even proceed, just told me to use the website or call in to ask again in a month.

Lol K, nah, was the ",Hoarder" but i just saw your orher reply. Im gonna consider this a dead thread. I think with your experie ce and that of hoarders, plus the fact that i know alot of people whove been sorely disappointed with Disco not matching their other limits probably would have already posted a hp approval success story, Discover is a company that wants you to use what THEY give you. Just posting to myself lol but its weird seeing lately how Discover seems to not be dishing out big increases on cli requests but they seem to be giving alot of big starting limits The big tease

I did a Discover sp credit line increase request this morning and went from $20,700 to $27,000......I only autopay my netflix,spotify and ny times subscriptions on it every month

I was the one who posted about no HPs for Discover CLIs. That's pretty funny--"The-Hoarder"...I should have that as my screen name instead

Curious: how long had it been since your last CLI request?

Was denied a request in January and again denied in May.....had a $5,700 cli in October 2016

Interesting that once you've establish a really strong limit it seems on occasion that give the big cli. Congrats on your jagman

Lol, Credit - hoarder, isnt it funny as we go along we find some cool alternative handles that wish we could use. Im astounded to this day no one has taken the one i see so blatantly but wiuld be a cool one indeed
