Comenity Closed My Accounts

NUTS NUTS.... I opened 5 Commenity accounts in one day. All closed within two weeks. Too much inquiry? Got too greedy?

Toyoyta Visa hard pull $5000

Sportsman Guide Visa soft pull/shopping cart trick $3000

Camping WOrld Visa hard pull $1500

Overstock Credit Card soft pull/shoppping cart trick $3000

ZALES $2500 HARD PULL

$15000 credit gone!!!

Here's what I had prior to the cards above (credit usage 31%):

Chase Freedom $3500

JC Pennys $4500

Applied Bank $425

Secured Capitol One Platinum MC $500

TU 720, EQ 720, EX 650

Not only did I get all my Comeninity Cards taken away. For applying my scores went down to:

TU 683, EQ 683, EX 637

Would Comenity taken away all my cards had I applied for one instead of 5? I suppose I can try again in 6 months?

In answer to your first question, they would not. Five apps in one day scared the you-know-what out of them. Don't try again.

For some reason it only seems to be the Visa's, you can do 3 or 4 store cards of theirs with no issue in one day and all with SP's. you would think the system with taking HP's could fix this situation before they approve if it's such an issue to them! They are the dumbest bank sometimes with some of the shadiest acts but they can also be the most fun to play with the crazy computer system... I mean when you can have $30k on a store card that you have spent $6 on or a $30k+ Jcrew card the bank is wack!

The real,question if you have 720'scores and have approved by a major bank like Chase why are you messing with comenity Visa cards. With 720 TU get a Barclays or Bank of America card. With 720 equifax get a PenFed card.

Sorry that happened to you OP, but Comenity doesnt like app spress on the major cards...The dont even like a one app much less 5 in one day. They have really cracked down hard the last 2 years, even on their store cards. Next time do some research on the forums before going on sprees, we could have told you not too, and the 95% chance you'd be approved, but shut down within a few weeks later.

Pages of Commenity credit cards in baseball card binders is soooooo 2015.
These credit card boards are so popular these days it would not surprise me that employees are all over these things. Some of us probably use the same username as our credit card logins.
Let's get super paranoid so every time we brag about a credit limit increase skew the numbers they don't match our real lives

I for one would like their WilliamsSonoma visa card as Ive always enjoyed cooking.

I would also go for the TRV as I am a frequent visitor to Vegas.

Gotta say it again and again, ..don't mix cards , if u have comenity store cards stay only with store cards don't add visa /mc, also when they say to many inq they go of your eq report (so keep inq low on that one)

also will help you if u have balances on charge cards( they make money that way on high interest) unlike u have cards and pif they dont make profit.

The urge for vs/mc is tempting but not worth.(STAY AWAY FROM COMENITY OR SYNCHRONY R.I.P VS/MC)

Same thing with Synchrony R.I.P don't mix cards ,like start with charge cards and then add visa/mc .they love ppl with huge balances on their cards (they make allot of profit on high apr unless you have promo purchase and u pay it before expires), they even give auto cli on cards almost maxed up, but they take u cards back once u go the easy way to call credit solutions and try / get cli and ask for huge amounts and doing it allot( they keep log on those calls) also keep exposure under 60k with Synchrony R.I.P. over that is lexus nexus party time.

That statement is so sweepingly untrue!!!
I have had 15+ Sync cards, called CS all the time, hit 100k ceiling, reapplied for visa/my when score was better, closed store cards... the list goes on.
Does your statement happen to some, yes. Is it some solid bank policy... 1000% NO

Synchrony R.I.P store cards over 15 some 5 yrs old, once hit exposure @ 90k added visa / mc (2 combined @ 3k )lexus nexus came down.so don't know from what past u talk about what im saying happened last year.

You also stated you closed store cards then went for visa/mc (i didnt) i keept store cards and added majors.

Also: when i see ppl here encourage other to go call credit solutions and ask for high limits it's dumb.they dont tell same ppl the risk they take when they do that from lexus nexus.
