I have received a letter with a “welcome to your credit card account” on the envelop, and the card last 4 digits, pin num, and some guidelines including my credit line in the letter. But there is no card inside, is that normal? The system of BOA said my credit card is sent on 9/7. Shall I call BOA or still waiting for the following letter? btw, actually I accidentally activate my card on the app before, does that matter?

Yes its normal to get that letter first then your card. Its how i got mine.

Actually, I received a cong letter before. Anyway, thank for your answering, and, btw, how long does it take you to receive the card after this "welcome letter"?

I had actually gotten my card before that letter since the card was sent UPS and that letter was not. Everything I've read among others seems to be a couple days later, on average.

Nine days seems incredibly long for BoA. I applied for a checking account on Tuesday and got the debit card today. I can't imagine receiving their credit cards would take any longer...

It's normal for the two shipments to arrive a few days apart and for either one to arrive first. When they go regular mail 7-14 days is pretty normal for them.

Actually, I got my debit card in a quite short time, maybe a week. So I am "impressed" by this long time to get my credit card from BOA.

Jesus. Since they sent my debit card at a very high speed, I hope to get my credit card for the same speed. My fault to hope too much......

I think maybe there is some misunderstandings, I received two letters but I do not have a credit card now. The first letter included a paper about the credit score. Now I received a second letter including my pin num, some program guides but no card. Since the second letter has a title "welcome to your credit card account", There is no card in such envelop, I think it is wiered.

This is normal. The one letter is basically telling you why they didn't give you a $1 million credit line and 9.9% APR (consider it a Truth In Lending disclosure). The other is your PIN number and the welcome packet for the card. There will be a 3rd letter with the actual card in it. PIN numbers and cards are always sent apart from each other for security.
