I can only speak from my experience but yes I think establishing a relationship with them first may help. US Bank purchased my mortgage and shortly after that, the flood gates opened. Was approved for two cards, both with decent starting limits and was offered a checking savings account which I did open. So yes, I do think j opening an account with them will help. Oh and my score at time of approval was 749 I think.

I may want to apply for the US Bank VS CC after a few months of gardening. Is it recommendded to open checking/saving account in advance to increase the approval chance? What is the expected Fico8 score for approval?
