Chase CL increase Bar

I logged into the Chase account last night and saw the banner that stated if I update my income I might be eligible for a credit limit increase? I updated my income, logged out, logged back in and the screen was still there. Is everyone seeing this or is there potiental for a credit limit increase coming my way?
I have an average score of about 770 across the board, the card currently has a $21,500 limit on it and I have an income around $65,000.

Yeah, I saw that and i saw that as well on my Target card.

From time to time when i log in to my accounts on the computer, the first thing that pops up is a message to update my income.

That bar comes and goes for me. Entering a value doesn't make it go away on my end.

Maybe it’s just a motivator for people to update their profiles. It hooked me, that’s for sure!

I've seen it a few times & has yet to result in anything but my putting in the same info that's been on the accounts since creation. Target store only redcard credit got a boost over after an update with higher income but only the one time

There's no guarantee that you'll get an increase if you update your profile. But it's pretty much guaranteed that you won't get an increase if you don't. To be eligible for a CLI, I believe your income information needs to be updated within the past year. If you make the CLI request yourself, the income update happens as part of the process.

How long after opening an account with Chase do they request you to update your income information? I'm at 5 months now with them and have not seen this yet.

I got Chase FU Dec 2016 and saw the income button in Aug 2017 (8 mos). I updated because my salary increased by $15K. However, no CLI to date.

I had the same banner and updated my income that hasn't changed and a few weeks later I did seee my sapphire got a small 1.5K cli. It's been open for 2 years now

It’s been showing on my 3 cards for at least a month, even after I “updated” to my same income.

I've been seeing the message for about a month. I just applied and was approved for my chase cards two days ago.

I have gotten 3 CLIS between 2 cards without updating my income. Maybe I should and see what happens?

Also, didn't they get the income info when we applied to begin with? Confused, unless they just want an update? Mine hasn't changed.

Were your cards less than a year old when you received the CLIs? If so, updating your income probably wasn't necessary.

Unless you can think of a really good reason not to, I'd go ahead and update. Even if your income hasn't changed, do the update so the lender will know that the information is current.
