I like that card, but I also enjoy the BOA CL increase patterns that make it seem like they like me or something. I started 6 months ago with a SL of $10,000 I am now at 28,000. I won’t complain about that.

I know this Alaska credit card is very popular. It is good to earn the points with card and use the points with partners.

I'm not on the west coast and have never been on Alaska Airline. So I'm just not quite sure about this card. I already have the Chase UR syste and BA PR system. We use Southwest for more than other airlines.

Just curious about this card.

Don't let the name fool you; while concentrated in the west, they're pretty much everywhere. I'd have the card myself if it weren't for the closed-off broom closet that Logan airport has for Alaska/Virgin America. I've also been tempted just for the partner transfers. What are you doing, joining the myFICO BOA credit line arms race?

Who cares about chase 5/24 when you cant even get the CSR when you've had the CSP in the last 12 months? I'm over chase....

Alaska is a great card. Great airline, great redemptions. And with the closing of Virgin's card by comenity, and 2018 to have alaska/virgin fully merged... might be worth a look. Alaska is opening up stations everywhere.....

And I forgot to mention that the companion certificate was not only valid with an upgrade using Gold Guest- Anyone can use it to Upgrade a valid economy ticket with 15000 miles.

I had considered this card one of my least valuable for travel (compared to Starwood, Chase Sapphire etc) but with the ability to upgrade the companion certificate it makes this card a huge winner.

I paired it with purchasing a package with my marriott points from the chase marriott card signup and transferred some spgs to make sure I had enough. Its a good program but I have held off on more apps with BoA though until they come out with a higher signup offer. Not going to be able to do much with 35k, so I would need to paid two apps together for a one way redemption if I want to go in F.

Just waiting for the 50k signup if it will ever come around :-) Man i wish MR or UR would pick up alaska as a partner that would make things so much easier. JAL sounds interesting , I am actually trying to save up MR for 2020 trip ANA J probably. I am not sure if F is worth the amount of miles you need compared to J.

Wouldn't count on that happening

I live in Akaska and have flown Alaska hundreds of times. It is my favorite airline and my favorite mileage plan. The BofA siggy card is great and used to be churnable however BofA is now tightening up on multiple applications. Get it now while the bonus is still there along with the companion fare. Also I read on GET.com that you can get a 10 k bonus if you transfer your miles over from Virgin prior to Dec 31st even if you already have an AK Air account. I have both so I will be doing this soon.
