Got an email from chase today for , CSR, 1 extra point on any purchase where Apple Pay is accept up to $1500.

If you have an iDevice, I hope you all max this one out. That's a pretty hefty bonus especially if you use the Chase travel portal for redemption!

Thanks for the heads up. I set up Android pay when I got my most recent phone, but never used it, just couldn't really see the reason or the need to.

This is the future, they will eventually phase out the pieces of plastic I guess......

The tough part will be finding restaurants that accept Apple Pay.

I like being able to use SamPay pretty much everywhere, restaurants included, though I often don't at restaurants as it makes me feel weird requesting to go with the server to the pos terminal and holding my phone against the reader. They usually get a big kick out of how the phones magnetic feature actually works like a physical swipe, but having worked foodservice for many years I've got a *thing* about not wanting to be a pain in the ass customer having been there myself.

I didn't get an email about this, but the link posted earlier makes it seem like it's a promo open for everyone with some sort of Sapphire card. Does this mean I'm good to go?

Got the email, too, but like the earlier posters, I'm a bit mystified as to how Chase expects cardholders to find Apple Pay opportunities for a travel and dining card. The only time I ever use Apple Pay is at Whole Foods and one other grocery store. I guess those grocery transactions will now yield 2 points (which becomes 3% with the $.015 portal redemptions).

I think for dining if i goto starbucks, smoothie place and food trucks they all have NFC payments. I think everyday spending is why Iwould use it.

The only problem with this promo,

You cannot add the CSR to Apple pay, unless theres some workaround I don't kmow about. I just wnet to Chases site, CSR still not supported for apple pay.

I just added it on apple pay on my mom's iphone 8 to make sure everybody could get it . All i did was line up the digits on back of the card with iphones camera and it worked fine , i had to get verification code sms'ed to me , it worked , give it a try :-)

You can definitely add the CSR to apple pay. I've had mine added since I got the card.

I don't think it's too hard to find restaurants that take Apple Pay. My g/f just used it tonight at her place of employment which is a locally owned Mexican restaurant and about the last place you think Apple Pay would work but it does. I bet a lot more restaurants have it now but it's not something you normally see because of the way tabs are handled. Can always ask and see if you can use it at the bar in the restuarant to pay.

Me too, I have had my CSR on Apple Pay since August 2016 when it was first issued.
