I went for my 61 day increase on my AMEX Delta Gold last month and was denied due to credit score but when they sent me the letter the credit score they had listed was old and lower than my current score at the time. I am coming up on my 91 day request and I would like to know what score date they are going to use. I had a drop in my EX score for a reason that I cannot determine but I recently had an increase for a reason I cannot determine again. The increase was not enough to overcome the lose I had but it puts me at 650. Do you think I have a chance and will it be based on my current score?

In my experience they base the CLI on the most recent EX report they have on file for you. This isn't always the score listed when you click View FICO Score on the right side of their card member page as it seems their system can take 3-4 days to get new monthly credit reports published to their web site.

Once you have some time to be settled with AMEX more or less whatever score they post when you view it on the dashboard is what they use give or take a month. Other factors they take into consideration is all internal such as usage, payment history, current limit at the time and so on. This all tied in to the internal risk score they get from all that data and from there the system determines your CLI if any.

When I was initially approved for the AMEX BCE, my SL was also 1K just like you, my score dropped 31 pts. when the account got reported lowering my AAoA. When I went for my 61 day CLI, it was denied as well stating that it was due to my credit score. So, I gardened and increased my scores and was able to raise it back 29 points when I hit the CLI button and got my 3X CLI to 3K. That was 91 days post denial. So assuming nothing else on your reports have changed, and you have been paying your balances on time, I think you are likely to get approved for the limit increase, since AMEX would also decide based on their internal risk score.

Score upon approval: 742

Score during recent CLI request: 727

Could give you a better idea on whether to bite the bullet or wait it out a little longer before requesting.

Do you know when they are most likely to do a soft pull? Is it before or after the statement closes? My statement closes on the 13th. I can possibly do another CCT trial to see my pulls but I want to wait until I am almost sure of when they would do the soft pull so it will reflect on the report.

In my experiences they post updated scores 2-3 days after the statement closes. YMMV as always. So, in your case they'll probably update your scores probably around the 16th give or take; probably best to get that CCT trial around the 19th-20th just to be safe. What date do they publish when you check your scores on the dashboard? Might give a better indication than anything else.

All these different scores from different places has me confused. My score from Experian updated today as 650 but I haven't received my updated score from their website yet. I think I will get it around the 15th or 16th. I think I gave incorrect info in my initial post.

Hmm, based on what I understand here while EX may have updated your score today with 650, AMEX will continue to use the score from last month since your statement hasn't closed yet. You'll have a better idea on your score once that happens since they won't update it til then.

My scores are no where near as good as yours.

I understand, but it does not mean that your Internal risk score is not good enough to receive a CLI. Score is just one factor in the equation. And it's a SP so you don't really have anything to loose. But if you want to be sure that AMEX pulls your most recently updated score, apply a few days after your FICO score updates with AMEX.
