Not to hijack the thread, but since Irish is so knowledeable about NFCU... I just got the Cash Rewards card. Gonna do a CLI after AR in January. If I were to pursue a second NFCU card, when should I, and which card should I go for? What are the benefits of the Flagship (aside from the higher CL?)

I also thing having 2 cards with Navy is a good thing besides the limits in that you might use one for rewards like CR or one for bts and low apr, the Plat. 2 can cover alot of ground for many. 3 is just being greedy Jk ?

Does anyone have an idea of the income amount Navy Federal Would be looking for to obtain an 80k card? I currently have the Flagship @ 8,000. Ive had it about 1.5 years now but it was maxed from the balance transfers I had so I never received a soft pull credit limit increase. I just paid it off last month and im thinking of increasing. I make about 80 a year....Just wondering if Id even be considered for that with a hard pull....If not, will they counter as they do with a Checking Line of Credit?

Thanks for the help

I have a total of 55,000 in spending limits with NFCU. And 5000 for the CLOC. Interestingly, when I asked for a CLI for my Platinum card the CSR could only raise my limit to 17500 from 10,000 (I asked for a 5000 increase). I’ve seen higher limits posted here.
