Amex Spend Bonus-One per Card Question

So I called today to see if the spend bonus was added to my new EDP card. It was.

Then he said I see you have a better one on your new PRG Card. (Spend 2k Get 25k)
Weird thing is I had this card already in the past and received the 25k Points. I told him this only because I don’t want to use it for 2k and then have myself not get the points.

He said... well, they gave it to you again so enjoy it.

Anyone have this happen?

I dont know DJ, one Csr against the grain hmmm however, i do seem to recall Amex has seemed to offer those second helpings to select few so maybe they are jelly on your relationship with USBank?

Well I will keep this updated. I made the spend requirement today so hopefully next month I have my 25k Points

They do occasionally allow it, particularly if it’s been a while since you had the card or if it was targeted. If the CSR is seeing it on the account, it’s likely really there. IME bonuses have always hit within a few days unlike MRs on purchases which take a while.

FYI.... my 25k is pending. (Actually more than that I think cuz the Purchases got points too)
Hopefully they will move from pending to posted next statement. Happy I got it. I thought the CSR was wrong.

Some of the bonus posted instantly and some are posted in two statement cycles.
