Discover More Balance Transfer Offer

Has anyone noticed their balance transfer offer change on Discover? I just got the card in November, had a 3.99% offer until 2012. I have been using the heck out of the card and PIF several times a month, and now when I log on, my offer is 9.99% for 6 months with a 4% transfer fee. Funny, because I'm still under my intro 0% until March 2010.

I've seen that happen twice now I think when I log into their site. It usually gets replaced with another 2.99 percent offer shortly thereafter. At the time I thought it was a bug in their software.

It's the same story with my mother's Discover Motiva card.

Same here, better numbers.

They are hoping we will forget and layer something over a lower BT and then start accumulating interest as they continue only to apply payments to the original lower BT. Always to the lowest regardless of age. Sneaky, but they are nice otherwise.
