Which cards use TU exclusively?

My last 3 negatives on TU were due to fall off on 6/18....so I submitted an EE. All of them were deleted! So I have a clean TU!!!

In a few days I’ll get an updated TU score thru Discover, so curious to see what it’ll be now. Then I’ll want to test my luck with some cards!

What cards can I apply for that exclusively pull TU? With banks that are BK sensitive, if the BK no longer shows on my CR, will they still somehow know I had a BK if they weren’t IIB?

Most Synchrony Bank cards use TU exclusively.

If the bankruptcy is no longer reporting on your bureau *and* you did not include them or one of their legacy banks (ie Fleet which was purchased by BofA; WaMu that was purchased by Chase etc) in your bankruptcy then they typically will not know that you had ever filed bankruptcy. Keep in mind that many public records never really go away and there are ways to find out about past bankruptcies. Most banks have access to Lexus Nexus/Accurint and CLEAR. I use CLEAR at work and just last year I reviewed a customer that filed bankruptcy in 1986 and CLEAR still had record of it. Again, it is doubtful that any bank would go this far to research you unless you had account activity that made them investigate you. There was a woman here in Colorado that was running for the Mayor of Aurora. This was back in the mid 2000s if I recall. Well, the news stations went after her and found that she had filed 4 bankruptcies since 1981 and that she bounced a check to Pizza Hut in 1991 LOL. Needless to say, she lost the election. Point is, information is available if someone really wanted to or need to find it but they likely wont.

If you live in TX, CO or UT you may be eligible to join Security Service FCU; they pull TU exclusively for everything.

Thank you, great info! I’m in TX, so I may give SSFCU a try (again)...also RBFCU. Both denied me earlier this year due to BK...so it’ll be a good test.

Generally, Barclaycard will pull Transunion.

You can convince BoA to use TU if you have an existing card with a CLI available. They usually do their HP CLI's through TU, but usually HP EX for new accounts. However, they combine pulls, so if you use a TU HP to get a CLI, then apply for another card, they'll use that TU HP.

I did this a couple of months ago to keep them out of my EX, even though my EX score was higher. I just don't want everyone in my EX, lol!

I've also had TU pulls on credit card applications with Lake Michigan Credit Union and Evansville Teachers FCU.

State Farm pulled TU only for me (Florida).

Synchrony pulled Experian for my Sam's club credit card two weeks ago, YMMV.

US Bank pulls TU, check prequalifer or go the gold checking route and see what they offer b4 ya app. BTW congrats on a clean report.

OP, did you call in or via USPS? I always thought TU only allows EE three to four months max, but not 6. Maybe now I do not have to pay PRA but instead, wait until June and ask for an EE since the collection account is due to come off in Dec. of 2018.

My Chase Disney Rewards Visa Signature was a TU pull only. I'm in Illinois.

Submitted EE request thru online dispute. Did the same for DH after min was cleared...his came back 48 hours later with all 5 remaining baddies deleted! They were due to fall off on 6/18. I had success calling before with some older accounts. Haven’t tried EX or EQ, their EE policy is 3 & 1 month.
