    <description>&lt;P&gt;I would stick with the card you have, and go for the request to get the 60k points.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;With the AF involved, and presuming you get the $1k taken care of soon, achieving the added points seems a strong possibility.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The risk with cancelling this card is that you may end up with no promo.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Signed up for wrong promo program - Jetblue</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So i signed up for the Jetblue plus card, but didn't realize that the 60,000 point promotional program was still available through 12/31/17. This is the Barclaycard mastercard&amp;nbsp;program.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Problem:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Basically I want to still have the same card, but want to get the 60,000 point promo, instead of the 30,000 point promo which I currently have. As the 60K point promo is still live, I don't see why I shouldn't be able to qualify for it. Yes, I signed up for the wrong promo two days ago. I've not used the card yet, nor have I received it, so those are not complications.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What I've done:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Called Barclaycard. They said I can do two things:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Option 1: After satisfying the $1K spend and paying $99, they can put in a request to get me the additional 30K promo. The agent said that as it is a live promo in my area, it is absolutely reasonable to request the promo, but there is no guarantee that the formal request will get me these extra 30K points. I asked her to notate my account, but continue to consider option 2:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Option 2: I can cancel the card, which may take several days to process (Past 12/31) and try to sign up again for the 60K point card. She warned that there is no guarantee that I'll be able to get the card. While I want to minimize hard inquiries, I am in the mid-7s and if the approval is credit dependent, i don't see why I won't get the card. Of course there is a timing risk here.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Whats the best way to make sure I get the 60K credit, or maximize the chance of it?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
