The iPhone app is the same way.

Cool redesign. Not much different functionality wise though.

Then I guess its time to drop my LG V30 I like the pure Android features of Google phones but the LG multimedia experience with options like the Quad DAC and IR Blaster to control TV can't be found anywhere else.

Cmon Gmood, we need to see the actual numbers lol, jk . Maybe one day when i upgrade my phone to 2018, ill get the apps. The HH Amex looks pretty nice. I have it showing on my card offers but of course no preapprovals

I'm waiting on the newest HHonors card. I believe Amex began rolling them out last week. They're supposed to send new cards out to everyone. I haven't had the older version but a couple of months. My GF claims she has the newest app on her phone. It's a Samsung.

Wouldn't that be a issue if the update was due to a security or privacy problem?

It appears that the Apple apps may have updated on January 16th. I don't recall much about the last app except that it needed some improvement. This one seems easy to use on both iPhone and iPad.

Possibly, the main reason why Google phone users get the latest updates first is because the phones are pure Android. Which is unlike those that have the extra bloat ware that each phone manufacturer likes to add. Their app designers have to make sure the newest apps function properly before they can release the updates. Apparently mine updated a couple of days ago. I hadn't looked at it until today.
The notes on the update state you can now order new cards through the current app.

Its updated for me and i have LG K20 from metro pcs. By the way i just paid my 5th statement and now im just waiting for my "credit steps" increase. Made my first payment 9/21 if that makes a difference.

Don't know about the Quad DAC, but Samsung Galaxies have had IR blasters for a couple years now. I never use it, of course, because I prefer actual tactile buttons, but I've played with it, and it works good.

I'd go with a Google phone, but I'd miss having an SD Card and headphone jack!

Weird. Feel like I had this design for awhile now. I have an Android phone but not a Google phone. Last update I see in the play store was from Nov 8th for the Amex app. Don't know.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and I'm stuck with the old version. No update is available for me.

I agree that it does look better; maybe in a few days they'll get around to rolling it out to more folks.

Now, if they would only do something with the dreadful "new" desktop website. With a little luck the link to the old site will continue to work indefinitely.

Try uninstall and re installing it. I just joined amex 2 weeks ago and that is how mine looks. Didn't know it was new. LG G5 or 6 or whatever it is. Is the phone I have lol I cant keep track I started with a G3 years ago.

Okay...now I'm become obsessed My phone is showing it updated the Amex Mobile app within the last 24 hours to version 5.26.0 which looks nothing like the screenshot posted. So what's the version number of this new version? Of course the Play Store is saying the current version "varies with device" so no version number is listed there.

I even took Roy21's advice to uninstall and reinstall and I still have version 5.26.0.

Roy21, if you have the most recent version of the G series it would be the G6 which is the slightly older sibling of the V30. The G versions are released in the Spring and the V versions in the Fall; they are mostly the same design except the V series tends to have more multimedia features.

I'm also running 5.26.0 and I have the same layout I've had for months (i.e. the 'old' one). I'm sure they'll get around to giving it to the rest of us eventually.

It can take up to a month to appear after your 5th payment so just be patient and don't try to jump the gun, You'll probably get a 2X auto-CLI increase then you can immediately request a 3X CLI.

Hey MnB what version of Android do you have? Mine is 8.1.0 .
