Amex - Changed My Closing Dates(?)

Is this normal? Almost got charged interest/reported balance on my PRG because the date my statement cut moved up 4 days..Checked my other AMEX cards and same thing, moved up four days.

Updated my calendars, but I'll probably check monthly now when the statements will cut so I dont get stuck paying interest, I PIF monthly.

I think it's because February only has 28 days. Amex changed my dates, only two days early for me.

But they changed from feb 15th to the 11th :-/ Its been the 15th for years lol. I can see it happening in March, due to the shorter month but not this one. Seemed random to me, but occuring on all my AMEX lol.

Hmm, actually mine is also four days, 18 to the 14th on my BCE. Good Delta is new, not sure what dates will be next cycle.

The due dates shouldn't ever change, But closing dates with AMEX can change from month to month.

Well dern. I hadnt even paid attention to the change. Good thing I paid it off the other day. I usually push the cycle dates. Lol

I get you want to pay balances prior to the closing date so as to avoid a balance reporting, but moving the closing date would not cause you to have to pay interest. You generally have 25 days after the closing date to pay your statement balance in full with out being charged interest. So, as long as you pay the full statement balance prior to the due date (not closing date) you will not pay interest on those charges.

Can you make the cards in your signature smaller, they are huge.

Probably because it’s February. Mine closes on the 16th, 3 days earlier than typical. I hope it’ll get back to normal. Sure it will. 😁

Nope I tried. lol Whats the html code ya'll are using on your cards? I've changed it down to 10 and it doesnt update. Used to be normal/smaller two years ago..

Coding I use for my signature. If you want to change the size of the image for your signature change the width/height to your liking. Show an example using one of your cards in html format. Make sure to take out [space] before using code.

working on it...lol. the old posts just had height= so adding width from other code (above) to see if it fixes it

Thank god someone gave me a code to fix my sig lol scrolling for an hour to read each response after i posted haha

Yeah, that post needs a little updating but the gist of it works.
