Citi 0% purchase APR offer on TYP

I just got an offer on my ThankYou Premier card for 0% purchase APR until 10/1/2018. It seems a bit of an unusual offer, so I figured I'd let you guys know in case you see it as well.

I don't use this card much anymore these days, so I'm guessing they're trying to grab more of my spend this way. I went ahead and activated it because why not, but I usually pay in full and I don't know if I'll make much more use of TY points, so we'll see.

My TY Premier now comes up with an offer of 7.99% purchase APR until 10/1/2018. The card did have a 0% purchase offer last year which expired 1-2 months ago.

I got the offer too on my DC card.

Sadly my line is only $450.
