Amex SUB's question

Just a quick question, if I have an amex delta skymiles card let's say platinum and I met the spend requirement and got the bonus, could I then apply for the gold and get that bonus as well? Could I keep the plat and have the gold at the same time? Could I do this in the same year? Or would I have to wait? Just curious. TIA

Yes, you can as they are two different products from the same family and you don't have to wait a year. However, do not close the the platinum after meeting the requirements immediately as that'd be "suspicious" should your account be reviewed.

I wouldn't cancel the platinum. The companion ticket for me will make it worth the AF. However I noticed a few month old preapproval sent to me for the gold with a lot more bonus miles than currently offered by either card. So my question was to see if I caught another offer like that would I be able to jump on it? Thanks for your help.

I did this. Got the gold (bonus) and couple of months later plat (bonus). This was while the subs were 60k and 70k. Too good for me to pass up.

60k on the PRG? I already got the card myself but curious how you got it. Mailer? Offered? Prequal?
