I have a cap one and a discover with small credit limits, 500, 1000 respectively. Thanks to this sight I learned how to use them properly. after 6 months they review your account for cl increases from what I can surmise reading all the posts. Do they sometimes offer you another card with better rates and perqs? If they do, should someone accept a card from an issuer from a company you already have a cc with to keep the rebuilding process moving along until one of the top cards become available. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Most cc companies do not offer credit cards you have to apply for them . They may offer auto credit limits time to time depending on the issuer. A few exceptions might be Credit Unions like Penfed who do occasionally send out preapproved offers like a credit card they offer. But those are usually targeted and not for everybody.

With Discover you can receive soft pull cli anywhere from monthly to every few months or to some of us like never lol. I believe Cap One cli are sp as well but has a 6 month cycle. As your score rises so will your chances to obtain other credit cards and ones that work for your spend and lifestyle. Best of luck on your journey

Wow you are a wealthof information. Now that I am informed and know some of the tricks of the trade, improving my score is one of my top goals. Thanks for answering all my questions along the way.
