Barclays SP CLI

Does Barclays does SP CLI anymore? I talked to a rep and she said she has been with Barclays for years and they never did that? As a side note she did say APR reduction are only once every 12 m as "people called in too much and wanted it lower and Barclays lost money" that their way of getting out of APR reductions.

You have to specifically ask if there is an offer on your account for a SP CLI.

You have to get through to an analyst or Retention. They're not as easy to get as they were in the past, but they are still offered.

Correct ^ I've gotten at least 3 CLIs with SPs that were offers in my account since owing these cards.

What number are u guys calling when i called 2 weeks ago and got a APR reduction on my aviator card guy was clueless when i asked were there any offers on my account for a CLI maybe i need to try another number.

I just called that number u posted and the analyst called another department and said they don't do special offers for a CLI. They will have to pull credit either I got another clueless Rep or policy is changing at Sir Barclay's

All of my increases (before I closed them) with Barclays were sp increases with apr reductions.

Just called the analyst # for my Aviaitor and started by asking for an APR reduction---which they DID grant---and which usually means a go ahead for a SP CLI so of course I asked for that...

NO DICE

Something may have changed. I had previously obtained CLI by asking for APR reduction, got transferred somewhere, and asked for CLI offers and got one.

Today I tried the same, got an APR reduction without being transferred (and was informed this is available every 12 months), but when I asked for CLI I was told this is done automatically when available and any request would involve a HP.

i tried with my barclay card got an apr reduction but they told me any cli request would have to be a hard pull

This has been pretty much the trend recently. It sounds like they've tightened the reins on the SP CLIs, albeit the APR reductions are still available if the account is eligible.

However, she also said the system occasionally initiates an auto-CLI which would be based on a SP. So she recommended that I stand by and wait for notification from Barclaycard that I have a CLI offer.

Does anyone know how rare or frequent those auto-CLI offers might be?
