Need advice regarding my Barclay Ring card...

Hey guys, my Ring card is never used and I really regret applying for it. I love my Uber card and was thinking about transferring my $10k line to the Uber and closing the Ring. Does the Ring ever give out 0% offers other than the initial one? Is there any other reason why I should leave it open? Thanks!

Typically you don't get offers like that unless you have some use on the card. If you don't foresee yourself using it again, you're probably better off closing it and rolling it into the Uber card like you said.

I can say from experience Barclays makes doing that very easy. I just closed and rolled over two other Barclays accounts into my Apple Visa and they only took a few minutes.

This card does have a very nice low APR though, one of the reasons I was considering getting it. I guess it's differnt time today, and less emphasis is spent on low interest rates. With a focus is on rewards points and bonuses instead. I feel it's good to ahev at least one card with a low APR for a balance carring option.

The 8% APR is no longer a thing.

Probably better low apr cards out there with better lenders . Barclays seems to fickle at times for many of its cardholders . It used to be the ring was a golden gem, now it seems like a trinket. This was SJ's baby back in the day

Yeah, I have other cards that offer sub 10% apr now. I really can’t find a good reason to keep it open.

I called in to close the Ring and something peculiar happened. They transferred the full $10k limit to my Uber card but my Ring still shows that it's opened with a limit of $500. Any ideas why?

Could be temporary. If you asked to close it not sure why they wouldnt honor it. Just keep checking. Call back if it seems it remains open.
