Navy FCU new credit card application advise

Hello Guys,

First of all, I am an immigrant from another country. Am I eligible for this card? if yes read this "I have credit score of 766 with the longest card being 3 years old. I have 8 cards with 60 CLI. I am thinking of applying for Navy FCU rewards card because it gives higher credit limit. Is it better to open checking account with them, to get max CL when I applied for the credit card? really appreciate your help"

I think if you qualify for membership you should be eligible to apply for a card. I can't find anything on their site that mentions citizenship; as long as you otherwise qualify for membership and have a Social Security number you should be OK.

If you're already a member I would simply call them up (or send a secure message) and I'm sure they can clear up any questions you might have.

With your credit score in the 760s if there are no other hurdles you should be approved for one of their cards with no problem.

Note: I'm assuming you have membership covered; if not that's what the conversation will likely be about.

Have you served in the US Military or work for the Department of Defense/Gov in any way? Membership is more restricted nowadays since they closed a loophole.

I called them, they said I am not eligible. What other cards as liberal as Navy FCU (I have Amex)

To get good answers you'll need to provide good info. Since this thread was about NFCU, you should start a new thread and ask all your questions there.

Also, be specific as to what you're looking for (cash rewards, travel rewards, etc.). The more information you provide up-front the quicker people will be able to offer meaningful suggestions. If you're too vague most of the thread will be people asking you questions rather than providing insight.
