From reading other posts on this forum, people seem generally happy with this CC. I think they run a lot of no interest for 12 month type deals, which could help if you need to get something big.

I know it is not much info, but it is what I got.

ashabbir, if you don't mind my asking, you seem to be app'ing for a huge amount of cards (and getting quite a few!) Aren't you going to get killed with inquiries on your credit scores? And I have read elsewhere of people who were approved for a lot of new cards, but once their new credit card companies saw how many they had, some cards were cancelled. I'd hate to see that happen to you, since you've been having success with your applications.

Hope you don't mind my worried noises!

Thanks for your reply. You are right. It is so addictive. I have already 14 accounts reporting and I think

there are 3 or 4 in the mail. Which are not reporting yet. I did not apply for any credit for last 2 years

and Now I am applying for everything. I just need one more good card and I will stop. an you please

tell me what are the minimum requirements for wamu card? Is it easy to get?

Thanks

I do a lot of buying at Lowe's and Home Depot, so it only made sense for me to get their cards, use them, pay them off each month, let them report, and hopefully increase my credit score. And of course its good to have store accounts in your mix of cards. Lowe's is provided by GEMB. They pulled my EQ report and I had a 720 at the time. All in all, I like the card, nothing bad to say about it.

For those who have a Lowes card....

I worked CS there for a few years. If home depot is ever advertising a financing sale and lowes isn't, but you are wanting to buy something at lowes.... go to the customer service desk and ask if they will give you the promo. Mention that Home depot has it. 99.9% of the time you will be granted it. CS may have to call Home depot to verify, though. (They may also have to call a manager..... when CS calls the card co, we have to give them the manager's name)

Another thing if you shop at lowes quite a bit...... make sure that if you have a promo for 6mo (or 12) and another regular balance.... that your payments will be applied to the regular balance first. I know there were a few angry people who were paying over the min payment and half would go to the 12 mo no financing and the other half would go to the regular payment. (making you pay more in interest).

Just a few things to keep in mind.....

I bought one thing that qualified for a 6 month no interest promo but I paid it off right away last month. They just mailed me a letter a week ago thanking me for using their promo and gave me a coupon for 12 months no payments no interest that was able to be reused for 1 week. Best part about the coupon was there was no minimum amount like their normal $299 minimum. I went in 1 day and bought like $200 worth of stuff then went back the next day and got $20 worth!

Whenever I need something or the home I go to Lowes but will not have their card. GEMB is by far the worst creditor I have in my wallet and will be closing them as soon as WallyWorld hits two years and Dillards hits 6 mos. I want to get something out of them besides a score hit.

Their websites are crappy and I could go on and on. Will NOT be doing backflips for anything they offer. Would rather pay interest.

Just the other day got a cash back offer on my Wally World card for gas. Mind you this was an offer that popped up after I logged into my oline account. After talking to a million reps was told they had no idea of what I wastalking about and then told me that was offered only on the Discover. Keep in mind this was under my card's special offers and I do not have a discover. Hadn't used that danged Wally World card in months the only reason I dusted it off wasforthe gas. Now it will report activefor no good reason

LOL!! Guess so... foir me the standard starter limit for a Dillards (I app'd online understand you get more if you app in store) card is laughable. What can you buy in Dillards for 200.00? My son got what we old folks call a warm up jacket for 80.00 and to complete the outft would have caused me to go over the card limit. This is Dillards, not WallyWorld. (Please don't think I dress him like this all the time but I figure since Dad does his part he gets one or two cool outfits a year).

That plus the fact that when you make payments, no matter HOW you pay, they put a 21 day hold on the funds. So if I wanted to complete the outfit it would take a min of 30 days by which time the jacket would no longer match the pants for wear. Who holds electronic ACH payments for 21 days?

On the occasion I have had to visit the site, there was the requirement of knowing the secret handshake to get to your account info since the normal ways never did work. But those are the only two GEMB cards I have or ever will have. Unless of course they buy my current cards which will probably have the limits lowered to 200.00.

I have had my WallyWorld card for two years come Dec. Started out at a 190.00 limit. didn't complain. But after two years of PIF'ing a limit just under 600.00 is ridiculous. Maybe I should pay them some of that 22% interest...UHUH...lol!!!
