Happy Wednesday! I accepted an offer to upgrade my current BCE to the BCP since they offered a year without an annual fee. I can also earn $150 statement credit If I spent 2K in 3 mos. I would have gone for the PRG offer that was also extended to me (40K MR Points for a 2K spend in 3 mos - $195 in effect 30-40 days after the upgrade). However, I am currently carrying a balance on my POT since accepting an offer for 0% APR until October 2018. As much as I wanted to get that, I did not want to add anymore on that card until I pay it down by October. What I did do is, I called customer services to inquire if I could move some of the limit from the Blue Delta Skymiles to the BCP eventhough the donor card is less than a year old and was told that I could do so. Went ahead and was approved BCP limit goes up to 15K reducing the Blue Delta to 9K limit.

Congrats! I also have an offer to upgrade my BCE to Preferred, but my offer is $250 bonus for 2k spend in 3 months - but then I only get 45 days before the $95 AF is charged. I also have the same PRG offer.

I'm passing on both:

1- My income is modest (under $50k), so I feel the amount I spend though CCs doesn't justify an annual fee, whatever the rewards/bonus

2- For the BCP, I'm single so my spend on groceries isn't that much for 6% rewards, and a good part of my grocery spend is at Walmart which doesn't qualify for the 6%. And I already have a 3% gas card, BoA Cash Rewards.

You can transfer CLs between cards online, and the donor card doesn't have to b 1 year+ old. I got my BCE May 2017 w/$15k CL. I got an Everyday card in late Feb. from a pre-qual offer, with $6k CL. As the ED came with 15 months 0% I knew I would put a sizable amount on it, so I applied online to move $4k from BCE to ED, instant approval to have a $10k CL on ED & $11k on BCE.

It's 0% APR for 6 months on the POT.
