Got our shiny new Barclay Rewards cards today which offers a meager 2% off gas, groceries and utilities. However, the good news is there is still the nice meager 1% transaction fee on balance transfers. The Commence card also had this offer. Some banks are charging 3-5% transaction fees now that interest rates are climbing. Anyway, the card still stays in the sock drawer, but carries a balance of $4500 currently. Interest free of course.

Still miss Sallie Mae.

I closed my Rewards card last week (and transferred limit to Uber). Today, I get sent the replacement cards, guess their process couldn't stop that! And a notice to my wife that her Rewards card will be closed if she doesn't make a purchase in 30 days (which we won't).

Not sure exactly what your question is... but to borrow $4500 was $45. The interest rate is 0% for 15 months.

The 1% BTs are the only reason I keep the card open (well, a bit of CL padding, since it's also my highest-limit card). They went away for me a couple months ago, but have recently returned. Unfortunately, the 0% period is now not 14-15 months, but 8-9 months. Still a good deal, but not a no-brainer compared to some other more expensive but longer offers.
