Wells Fargo is now providing FICO 9 Scores

Interesting tidbit I thought I would share since I had not seen it posted here yet. (forgive me if I missed it)

I logged into my Wells Fargo Account and it looks like they are now providing FICO 9 as their monthly score.

Up until this, NFCU was the only account I had that utilized that scoring. Although I believe PedFed also provides FICO 9, this was the first major bank I have seen to provide this.

I wonder if they will be using this score in their decisioning as well. Interesting to see.

Is this new? I only have a mortgage with Wells Fargo, no credit card. The score they provide has been FICO 9 from day 1.

While I can't speak to their mortgage products, this is a change for credit cards as my April score from Wells was a different scoring model. (Bankcard Fico 2 if memory serves)

With their mortgage and credit card, this FICO 9 is brand new to me.

This was mentioned earlier though it is a welcome change from that bankcard score they offered before.

Yes, they're providing a FICO 9 to all customers... Even those with just a checking or savings account.

Chances are they're using this as one of many tactics to make themselves look like they're really "changing for the better."
