Which credit cards give the best access to FICO scores?

I have AMEX/BOA/Cap1/Barclays/Discover all enrolled in their credit scoring programs, and I have Chase as well due to being an AU. (Not to mention CreditKarma/Nerdwallet) Some give Vantage Score 8, and some (Chase puuuupuuuupuuuuuu) give Vantage Score 3.

My score varies drastically between them, for example Vantage Score 8 its at 715, under Chase Vantage Score 3, its like 680. CreditKarma is also wildly different.

Which Card/Card Company gives the best/most accurate scoring as a result of having their card? I've also noticed most give just 2/3 and getting that experian score is quite hard to find.

I also see some folks have acces to Vantage Score 9, who gives access to that? Which score should I really focus on?

Fico08 is better than the Vantage Score you get from CK or NW.

If you have their cards, Chase & Amex will give you Experian Fico08, Discover & BOA is Transunion Fico08, Citi is Equifax Fico bankcard 8 (900 point scale). Creditscorecard by Discover will also give you Experian Fico 08.

Instead of "Vantage Score 8," those should all be "FICO 08 Score." All of the various credit card companies that offer scores are giving "correct" scores, it just depends on which scoring model is used and which of the three credit bureaus. Most of us take no stock in VantageScore 3.0 scores and consider them to be FAKO scores as it is exceptionally rare for them to ever be used in lending decisions. Most of us generally use FICO 08 scores, and those would be the ones given by Amex (Experian), Bank of America/Discover (TransUnion), etc. Citi gives FICO 08 Bankcard Enhanced, which is a variation on the classic FICO 08. So far, I know that FICO 09 scores are being given by PenFed and NFCU. Both of those are based on Equifax data. You can also get a free monthly Experian score from Discover via creditscorecard.com

Edit: @Anonymous haha I got interrupted by a call while typing that. Amazing how close our replies were.

Also, for the record, my VantageScore 3.0 scores and those of my DW have historically been about 100 points lower than our actual FICO 08 scores. DW's FICO 08 scores have been in the 790-810 range for a while, and even with her $90,000 BoA credit card, Credit Karma still thinks she might have only fair odds of getting a rebuilder card from Capital One or one of the subprime cards from CreditOne and the like.

Synchrony Bank offers true TU Ficos 8 on many of their cards.

Wells Fargo now offers a FICO 9 from Experian.

You can actually get a free monthly credit report and FICO 8 score from Experian, my favorite bureau.

I knew about Wells & Ex but not Synch so that's a plus..

Here's an odd note: US Bank gives me my TU Vantage 3 but for their CLI recently they used a Bankcard 4 that seems strange to me.

That's a known thing with them, they also use it for an initial credit application.

BECU gives TransUnion FICO 08 (it's not in the "Unofficial" list).
