Unofficial Data Thread for Bonuses

I wanted to start this to see what bonuses members are currently working on and also how many at a time.

Here is what I'm currently working on for the next 90 days (May 15th to August 15th).

Completed

1. Citi DC - Spend $500 get $100 - Done - Received $100 bonus.

2. AMEX EDP - Spend $1k get 20k MRs - Done - Received MRs. Also did 30 transactions.

3. Charles Schwab Checking - Deposit ANY amount & get $100 - Done - Waiting on bonus.

4. Spirit Airlines WMC - Make ANY transaction and get 15,000 miles. Done. Waiting on miles.

In Progress

1. NavyFed More Rewards - Spend $3k get 25k points ($250) - In progress.

2. Charles Schwab Investor Card - Spend $1k get $100 statement credit. In progress.

3. BOA Cash Rewards - Spend $500 get $150 - In Progress.

In total, I'm looking at $700, 22k MRs and 15k Spirit miles.

Finished SPG retention spend (miscellaneous). $1k for 7k SPG. Points posted quickly.

Midway through Prestige retention period (price rewind stuff). $50 for each statement I spend $1500+. Runs for 7 statements.

Early in CSR minimum spend (travel and other). 50k URs for $4k spend.

Chase AARP....spend 500 within 90 days...200 bonus/completed/received

Chase Disney...spend 500 within 90 days...200 statement credit/completed/ waiting on bonus

Chase................Total Checking...Direct Deposit any amount within 60 days...300 bonus/completed/received

Chase has become my new best friend this year..lol. Numerous bank account bonuses in 2017. Resting from new checking account signups for at least a year. Gardening from credit card apps for who knows how long. Not a churner but I like free money.

TD Ameritrade sent me a pretty nice targeted brokerage promo. $1,300 and two years of free trades for moving $250k. I might do that.

Got the Navy Amex 25k for 3k spend, no way I'm hitting that even with an expensive car ac repair today. Other than I did complete a WF Cashwise $200 SUB for 1k in 3 months, no clue when I'll see that

Just completed the chase fu 500 in 3 months for 150 plus added the au for 25 more now trying to get my daughter to apply for the fu to get the 100 for recommending a friend

Also working on the cash+ sub of I think 100 or 15o for spending 500 in 90 days I have about 250 left to spend

Just opened a checking account with a local bank that offers 300 cash for opening a checking account should get the 300 around Christmas I believe

My Fico is killing me, I just opened a dcu account and they gave me the pre approval for their platinum card over the phone and I asked the csr what the sub was for accepting the card. Haha

Awww, we couldn't have this conversation in 2017 when DW and I were doing 1 or 2 big SUBs every month?

Usually I can hit a SUB in a matter of days or at most weeks. I'm irritated with the SL on my latest acquisition, Citi ThankYou Premier. Totally not the norm for me to try to get a SUB for $4k spend with a tiny $3k limit. To keep it interesting since I can't really just throw a $4k bill on it one month, I've challenged myself to hit the SUB using only the 2x and 3x categories on the card. The SUB is $4k spend for 50,000 TYPs which I'll be moving to Virgin Atlantic for Premium (possibly Upper Class) for 4 r/t tix to London next year.

I got a congratulatory letter from NFCU yesterday on my auto CLI, offering me a $200 statement credit for spending $3,000 by sometime in July. Tempting, but a.) I have a big 0% BT on there and there would be no grace period for the new purchases, and b.) the Citi card is already eating into my timeline for hitting $75k spend on SPG for my race to Marriott Platinum.

Edit: Speaking of SPG, I suppose I should have mentioned that I did recently complete a targeted "Spend $10,000 and get 7500 bonus Starpoints" twice (the maximum) that I got back in March. I guess that counts for a recent bonus, particularly as it has not yet been credited to my account.

I didn't have much to report for this year:

Chase Mariott Business - 75K in points for 3K spend back in April. Met the minimum spend the same month with a few big purchases we already had planned. Received the bonus right after my statement cut.

Amex Platinum - 100K in points w/ a 5K spend last month. Met the minimum spend in one month since we had a few trips I booked. Received bonus right after I hit the 5K way before my statement cut.

Amex Everyday - 10K in points for 1K in spend. Just got this card but had to buy a new camera so I was able to hit the minimum spend pretty quickly. Points posted few days after that.

No new cards in the last 9 months, so I'm not working on any bonuses at present. I'm thinking of opening a Charles Schwab brokerage account soon, so that would yield a checking account bonus and a credit card bonus, but the bonuses would not be my primary motivation for opening the account.

Just got done with Amex Delta Gold and Amex Delta Platinum Business.

In total a $5k spend and $195 AF for 120k skymiles and $250 in Delta credit with companion pass on AF renew, will cancel Delta Gold in 12th month. Actually got some seat upgrades with the Delta Platinum on last 2 flights, turns out that part of the card is surprisingly useful.

- US Bank Cash+: $150 for $500 spend

- US Bank AR: 50k points for $4,500 spend

- BofA Alaska Air: 30k points, Companion Ticket & $100 statement credit for $1,000 spend

BBVA compass $200 for opening checking & establishing DD (ach'd from Cap1 360) $50 for opening savings and they offered me a CC with a $100 bonus for a $1000 spend in 1st 3 months. Done, done, and almost done.

For sure!! That Delta Platinum is a keeper! I'll never getting rid of that. Just with annual certificate along...seat upgrades? yes!!

Update:

So turns out that the offer for spirit i applied for was to receive 15K miles after making A purchase. The paperwork that arrived said i would get 15k + 5k after making A purchase...20K miles for buying a six pack of VooDoo Ranger Imperial IPA beer, yes!!

once you see how easy it is to get checking/savings bonuses from banks for just a soft pull on credit... it makes the $150 bonus on $500 spend seem like childs play.... bank bonuses are just a hobby... my goal is $3k this year... and these accounts are much easier to churn than credit cards.
