I opened a PlayStation card April 16th and it still isn't reporting. On the other hand, I opened a Kohls card a week later and it started report about a week ago.

Just curious how long before capital one starts reporting, first card. Approved on may 12th, got and activated a week and a half later, put a small balance on. Says first due date is near the end of June. I have my first statement online. Will it report then this month probably?

It was confusing because about a week later a applied for a discover card, it literally showed up on my reports (via credit karma, experian, and the cap 1 app) the day after it arrived? Also since I hadnt activated it, it reported a 0 balance since I didn't have a chance to use it.

Lastly, on the cap 1 statement...is the stabclose date the day I need to leave a balance on before I pay it down so it reports utilization?

Thanks for the help!

If you PIF on the last day of your statement closing date, it will report $0 on your credit report. It will report whatever balance is on the card after the statement closes.

Im trying to understand your meaning so Ill just take a stab at what you are asking. Stabclose?

The "payment due date" is the date your monthly required payment has to be made by. You must pay at least the minimum amount due by this date

Your statement will officilly close about 3-5 days AFTER the payment due date.

Cap1 will report your account about a day or two after the statement close

The statement you are looking at online is summary of your recent charges on your

account. Your statement will be official when your real statement cuts

You can call cust serv and they ill tell you the date your statement will cut.

Good luck

In my experience so far, Capital One reports after the first statement period in which you actually use the card. For example, when I opened my Quicksilver Visa at the beginning of January, I didn't use it until after the current statement period (due date January 25th) had ended, so the card didn't report until the end of the statement period with due date February 25th. That may be something to keep in mind if you need the card's CL to show up in your total revolving credit for utilization purposes or otherwise.

I recently got a cap 1 card and activated about May 7. Statement cut May 16 with a due date of June 13. I've used it about 10 times and it still has not reported. I did make a few small payments as I wanted the utilization to be low if it did report. I have since done a PIF as I do not want it to report.

I had given up on finding a home that I liked and sure enough right about the time I got the card, I found what should be the perfect home( after some work), so I started the loan process. I told my LO about this, but I'm hoping it does not report until after I get closed on the home loan, just to make sure it does not affect anything in the underwriter's mind before they give me a clear to close letter.
