    <description>&lt;P&gt;It appears that a lot of banks and issuers have been tightening up on fraud prevention measures lately - I had to call Apple FCU yesterday to get a transaction unblocked on my debit card&amp;nbsp;because I'd bought something from an overseas vendor via ABEBooks (used/rare bookstore site) and it was automatically flagged as possible fraud - so this is actually becoming kind of routine. As long as you can provide the needed information when you get the letter, or if you call Synchrony and give the CSR the needed info over the phone, it should resolve the issue and you can get your card unblocked. When I got my 2nd Discover card in March, I had to call Discover to verify my ID before my application was finalized.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope somebody can help?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I was approved for the Walmart store card with Synchrony and given a temp card last week. Used the temp card and spent a bit over $100 - limit is $300.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I went to the store today, a $10 charge was declined. My online access is blocked and it says to contact them. Called in and was told I am being sent a letter within 7 days due to a security review.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anybody know what this means for me?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;from the look of things, its seems like they are mailing you a letter (possibly some type of confirmation code) to verify you are who you say you are. Other than typical fraud prevention steps and them trying to cover their own hind, I don't think they cancelled your card.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have the same card and have had a similar issue of my card not being usable due to website not giving me access to pay. CSR was trying to ask me to wait 2 weeks for mail but I wasn't going to chance a late payment. Use the online chat or call again to see if you get a different answer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
