I was told by a couple of Citi’s CSRs that I have to wait until my 0% intro promo apr expires in August to PC my Citi AA.

Is this true or should I keep calling back to get a more knowledgeable CSR? If this is the case, I have to eat the 95$ AF this year or close the card.

I also have the Aviator White which I put a small reoccurring charge on to reset the 18 months expiration on my miles.

Also what do you mean when you say Citi raised your BT fees? I constantly get offers on mine with either a 3% or 5% fee. I always do the 3% ones as I can’t justify paying more than that in fees.

The Citi BT offers I am seeing have consistently gone to 5% for me. Double Cash BT offers ( a PC from Diamond Preferred ) seem to be 3%, but I am nearing the end of needing any BT, other than for fun.

Another thought about the Citi AA is to see if you can PC to a American Airlines Gold version. Lower AF, fewer perks. They may also have some sort of points offer. One of my Citi AA cards ( the one I use for spend ) was getting consistent offers for spend $500 and get additional 3,000 AA miles. Those were nice. I don’t know if they have a no-AF version of the Citi AA cards.

Yes they have a no af version but since I have the aviator white I don’t have a need for it. I use the aviator white to keep my miles from expiring basically.
