topic Chase Freedom Question in Credit Cards

I hope someone is able to help me out, since Chase customer service is giving me very conflicting answers to the same question(s).

First off, I did a product change from WaMu Platinum to the Chase Perfectcard, and then to the Chase Freedom card. (yes, I couldn't make up my mind at first)

I have the Chase Freedom (1% Cash Back) "Automatic", where it's supposed to credit my statement every month. However, I'm unsure exactly how this works. For example, if I have $5.00 in rewards, does that $5.00 automatically get credited every month, or do I have the choice to let it accumulate? Since I always pay in full, I rather have it accumulate, since it wouldn't be anything to credit.

Also, they said the name of my card is the "Chase Freedom Platinum Mastercard". Is that the exact name of the card if I applied for it directly on chase.com? I just wanted to confirm that the product change is the same card as if I applied for it directly from chase.com. I didn't know that the Chase Freedom was a platinum card.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!
