Cleaning up the sock drawer

Today I finally closed the last of the credit builder cards. I am at a point where I have comfortable enough limits that I no longer need the Capital One secured or the Credit One AF card. The Best Buy card is my oldest card at 12 years, so I am keeping it around for nostalgia and to help with the account age formula for as long as possible. Every other card offers some kind of reward and I want to keep all of them for the long haul. If you told me two years ago I would be in this financial shape today I would not have believed it! At the time I had a $500 CL Best Buy store card and a $300 secured card from Capital One in my wallet and I felt blessed for the Capital One. I don't think I could have gone from there to having over $15,000 in revolving CL plus a mortgage and auto loan without the help of this forum. Thank you all for being here!

Big Congrats to you. There is something about coming to these forums feeling like your credit is in dire stress, and then being able to report on the same boards as on of the success stories!
