PayPal credit - Sync - hidden or not?

So, it had to be the guinea pig. I applied for PayPal credit through synchrony last Thursday. Approved for 5000. I saw the HP hit EQ!!! And yes, I did say Sync pulled EQ. I thought that was very odd. None of my reports are locked or frozen or anything. The other odd thing is that new sync accounts usually report within about 2 days. We are 6 Days In, no new account notification.

I'm wondering if this will still be hidden? Guess we will see

5k is a great line Tireguy. Still hidden and I have a gut feeling it will remain hidden. Sync already has 2 unhidden MCs so really no sense in bringing this to light imo. Let's hope

I definitely hope it stays hidden. As you alluded to, based on the fact that Synchrony is historically very quick to report, I’d say they haven’t made that determination yet and it’ll remain hidden until we hear otherwise. Fingers crossed.

Mine is still hidden with the first statement since they took over about to cut. Hope it stays that way! heh

I applied and was approved for 10k SL on 7/1. HP inquiry reported from TU on same day. New account/tradeline reported to TU and EQ on 7/3 and reported to EX on 7/4. Certainly not hidden on my reports unfortunately.

Did you receive a Paypal Extras or Cashback Mastercard, or did you obtain a line of credit from what was previously known as Bill Me Later and now known as Paypal Credit? $10K is a (very) unusually high SL for Paypal Credit.

My first statement since the take-over cut on July 15, 2018. Still hidden. Payments still go to same address. I posted in the General Credit section of the forum about what my statements now looks like. YMMV.

My statement cut right after the change and I've yet to see anything on my reports either...and I'm hoping it stays that way.

My statement closed a few days ago and it doesn't look like it's reporting. I'd welcome it showing up if the original BillMeLater opening date was used, but certainly don't want it to if Synchrony uses a 2018 opening date.

DW has a PayPal Credit account and statement cut this week, still hidden as well. I do think that it's extremely important to make sure people posting about it being hidden or not are discerning between actual PayPal Credit (old school Bill Me Later, no physical card, no MasterCard affiliation) vs. the PayPal extras MC or cash back MC.

As was mentioned earlier a 10k limit for paypal credit does seem high. From my experience, the application for PayPal credit results in a HP with the burearus, but nothing else reports unless something negative occurs with them. Just my $.02

My post concerns PayPal Credit (formerly BML) initially issued thru Comenity. I have both but the MC has never been a hidden tradeline and was issued originally from Synchrony.

Is it possible that newly opened lines will report but the older accounts will remain hidden? Sort of grandfathered in prior to the change.

There could be some grey area, this particular application and approval took place on 7/1 whereas the official transition happened on July 2nd.

My account is still hidden. There was a statement that when a payment is made that a minimum payment will be applied to all purchases.

"We've changed how PayPal Credit works.

You still get No Interest if paid in full in 6 months on purchases of $99 or more. What changed? A minimum monthly payment now applies to all purchases. This is included in your minimum payment due."

Not sure how this will work.
