Just got an offer to use up to 100% of my credit line ($20k) with no upfront "fee" for 36 months at 9.99%. They sent two checks which are good until September 2018 - use at any time between now and then for 36 months at 9.99% apr. You can even write a check to yourself (aka cash advance).

I hardly ever use this card, but that's a darn good offer!

I received the same checks over the weekend. Not a bad BT offer, not as good as Navy's though.

Same here... I got the same checks (and deal) for my BBVA/Compass Clear Points Visa.

While most of us are quite savvy and have better alternatives, for many non-myFICOers this will likely be a pretty good offer.

Granted my regular rate is 12.95% but that changes with every fed rate increase and there have been 7 since 2015 with 2 more fed bump ups expected in 2018. Considering the economy is very robust, you can expect interest rates to continue to go up over 2019.

I get BT offers all the time, especially from Discover (3% fee) and CitiBank (4% fee), usually for 12 months - even if I was looking for a major purchase such as new furniture or whatever it's a pre-approved "loan" at a very reasonable rate. You can always pay it off in 6-12-18 months but you have the flexibility to go 36. I think it's the best deal I've seen in a while.

I got a set of those checks recently also--and YES that IS an excellent offer. Thinking of using one of mine for my real estate tax. The tax office accepts credit cards--but charges a 4% up front fee.
