Discover First CLI - Auto

I just got my second statement from my 2nd Discover. I've decided not to press the CLI bitton anymore until a week after my third statement cuts I was wondering since I've asked for CLIs before on that card (denied of course; it's too soon) does that mean I definitely won't get an auto-CLI? Or do denials not affect anything?

Given the timeframe you've had the account, any auto-CLIs are at best YEMV.

Other than the account being relatively new, what reason(s) were cited for the CLI denials? Typically, those actions should not prevent any auto-CLIs, but keep in mind that Discover is all over the place when it comes to these things.

FinStar: Insufficient experience at current credit limit blah, blah, blah. Honestly I didn't expect one, it's just wishful thinking to get the realloc done sooner.
Yeah, they are a hard one to figure out. I think I'll just sit it out and see how it goes then. Thank you

My personal experience : Approved for Discover Feb 8, '18. Requested CLI May 11th. Received $500 CLI on June 30th. The increase came on the 3rd day after my 3rd statement cut. Every payment I made was between $100-$600. Multiple payments per cycle, daily usage with the card and was about 70% util at the time I got the increase. Here's to hoping for another bump after next month's statement.

I know there is no one answer for everyone, but I think if you aren’t having success on bimonthly intervals then maybe try 3 mos or more until you find what works best for the second card. I’m curious what you come up with since it is after all the 2nd card. Please report if you get the chance.
