I would call Capital One.

Generally, when an account is restricted, it cannot be used, but that does not necessarily mean the account is closed.
Perhaps your account is restricted due to potential fraud.

Never be hesitant to contact a creditor as it is your credit. A creditor wants you to manage your credit successfully because they can only make money if you do. The sooner you know if there is a problem, the sooner you can minimize the impact to your credit.

Welcome, @Anonymous.

It's very likely that there are possible fraudulent charges on your account. If that's the case, what you need to do is simple. Call in, and confirm that you either initiated the transactions or that they are indeed fraudulent. If you initiated the transactions, you should be good to go almost immediately. If they're fraudulent, you'll be good to go after receiving a new card in a couple of days.

I agree with everyone else. My mother opened up a secured Cap1, that had her send in a lease, social security card, drivers license, and utility bill.

She just opened a QS1 a few days ago, started using it and now that’s restricted too so she has to answer some fraud questions.

Cap1 is very cautious about fraud. Give them a call and you’ll be fine.

If the OP has had the card a while, it's unlikely that he'll have to send anything in. At most, he'll likely be asked a few questions to identify himself.

It's my name the card i seen returned ach payments i now positive of that how do i explain that i dont need that on my credit worked hard to get a 718 score

If fraud was committed, there really isn't much you can do. You can try explaining the situation, maybe try reaching out to the executive office. But more than likely, they'll close the account after their investigation. Good luck to you.

I am truly sorry thay you're experiencing this. You may need to file a police report to demonstrate you truly did not authorize the charges and were unaware. Unfortunately you are not the first person victimized by a loved one so the company may work with you if you do that.
