Capital One Securd Card Deposit Refund

my 11th statement cut on my capital one securd card on the 15th paid my balance in full infact i overpaid my account was -4 dollars log in this evening to see a pending security deposit refund of 400 my scores are 729 for tu 690 for ex and eq is around 680 i wish they would have just sent me a check but oh well this has been a long year for me but ive finally got me and my wifes credit straightened out nothing negative on my wifes reports and i have 2 paid charged off gas bills on my eq and ex reports that is scheduled to fall off in about 18 months i never would have imagined this after years and years of having bad credit it feels good want to thank everyone for all the advice ive pratically lived on this forum for the past 18 months lol

Congrats on your success and sounds like you've learned a lot on your journey (similar to many of us). For the credit balance, I see you having a couple of options.

If you have spend that you would normally put on a credit card (i.e. groceries, etc), then you can use this card and then take the cash that you would have normally paid to the card to use for something else
Give them a call and ask them to refund the credit balance on your account. They should process a refund check for you as long as you don't have any pending charges.

i think the system still sees my card as a secured card i will try again after my next statement cuts

so i bought a pair of headphones but the charge came off my available credit instead of balance thats -400 i assume because its pending and when it settles it will take it off the -400 balance right?

Correct. Your available credit will get updated once the charge posts (usually the day after in my experience).
