I've gotten the CSP recently simply because the SUB would pay for a small vacation this year, I'll probably close and and move the CL as I don't travel enough to get use out of it. I'm curious if the URs that come from the SUB are allowed to be used for statement credits, it allows me to click on cash back, but don't have any points ot test it. Still think I'll use it for my vacation regardless, but it would be nice to know if I have this option.

If I remember right, you get 5000 extra UR points for just adding an authorized user to you Saphire Prefered account also.
This would give you more points to cash in
as well.

URs can be redeemed for 1 cent per point as cash.

Yes, you can redeem them at 1 cent per point as a statement credit, 1.25 cents per point when you book travel through the UR portal, or significantly more if you transfer the points to travel partners. If you’re planning a vacation, I’d suggest the last option or worst case the middle one so you’re not throwing money away.

Do you have to have say a Hyatt credit card if you want to transfer the UR points? I’m only 24 and have only planned a handful of my own vacations. So I’m not an expert lol.

You just have to an account in the partner's program (to transfer the points to!). Generally you can sign up for these for free.

So I’m a member of Hyatt, 55000 points from the SUB will be 55000 points at Hyatt. And that’s significantly more than the 25% bonus towards booking a room at Hyatt through the UR program? I may save it and try to milk the world of Hyatt chase CC bonus if that’s the case.

So I answered my question, could get 12 nights at a category 1 Hyatt which is fine for me, instead of 5 with URs.. Id get 24 nights if I sign up for the Hyatt card.. sounds like a steal.
