CLI on GM Buypower Card?

I have had the C1 Buypower card for about 5 months now. It has really become my daily driver. It started at a 5k limit and hasn't gone up. The luv button (SP) always returns "Credit line increases are not available upon request for this type of account." Has anyone had any luck getting increases out of this card besides that one guy that had like 13.5k on it LOL? And if so, do I need to call in and specifically request one? Is it a HP on Equifax again?

Any experiences you've had, feel free to share!

I had this card for two years, sl was $3k. Received one cli for $500, then nothing. I remember a post from someone who had some success with this card. I closed 3 Cap one cards soon thereafter. No hard feelings - I've done very well without Cap One.

OP, unless an auto-CLI occurs, then most requests are typically HP.

Mine sits at $10,500. I haven't had to request a CLI, but I recall that the option to do so online wasn't available for a while. Maybe you can contact them?

I'm just curious - of all the cards the could be a person's daily driver, why would the BuyPower card be your DD? I have the card. I don't find the "rewards points" to be all that great of a deal, and even if you accumulate a ton of points, you're usually limited on how many you can use towards a single vehicle purchase.

I have had this card for about 2.5 years. It started at $1000 and after the credit steps increase it went to $1500. Today it sits at that same $1500. I have tried more times than I can recall to get a CLI and have always gotten the same message about "increases not being available for this type of account". I called to ask what this meant and so far no one has been able to actually answer that question.

I have made more than a few requests for a CLI on this card and have yet to have a HP show up on my reports. If they did I would have a LOT more inquiries because I asked a LOT before I realised that this card just will not grow.

Crazy. That one guy got a CLI every time he requested one....credit is such a strange beast.

I have had this card for a long time. Started with $250, then 6 months later they bumped me up to $500 and that is where it has sat for two years. I called and asked about it and was told that they will do an auto CLI at some point and to be patient. I'm considering closing this account, because there really is no benefit when I have other cards that I can use.
