Great Morning Fico Fam😀
Just got a AWESOME email from Capital one. They upgraded my Secured Platinum card to Unsecured. YAY!! and they will give me my $49 desposit as a statement Credit.😁😁 . SO EXCITING

I have the Quicksilver One already. I will be looking to upgrade that to the Quicksilver in January. So that I can avoid the $39 AF

Quicksilver one was the first unsecured card I was approved for during my rebuilding phase..... And my other Quicksilver used to be a Platinum Secured...... I've been actively trying every few months to try and Product change the QuickSilver One to a Venture One but no dice so far... I'll get em one day

I have the secured card too, but im a little confused. After 7 months i randomly got a $300 increase now $500 but i didnt recieve an email telling me my account is unsecured and I will recieve my deposit back. Just curious if unsecure will be the next step

yes hopefully the next step is to unsecure it around the 11th or 12th statement mine unsecured 5 days after the 11th statement my wifes unsecured after her 12th statement

@Jose the increase you received was the automatic Credit Steps limit increase for making on time payments. They say, after making 5 on time payments, you may be eligible for a credit limit increase. The reason you didn’t receive any email about graduation is because most Cap1 secured cards graduate around 11 months. Ive yet to see any graduate before that time. Still, getting that CLI is always a win.

nope, I was hoping that they gave me an increase once it was unsecured. but overtime I know the Increases will be coming

Few things, unless Cap1 has changed things quite a bit since I was in that position. It's very rare for a QS1 to get upgraded to a QS, generally Cap1's stance is if it started with an annual fee it's always going to have an annual fee. Call next week and ask if you have any offers on your new unsecured platinum, they may very well upgrade it to a QS with no annual fee, then combine your QS1 into it after your year is up. That is what I did with mine, they even sent me a check for the $39 annual fee I had to pay on it. Since you started with a secured card, cap one probably "bucketed" you and no matter how good your profile gets, you will be limited in what they will give you for CLI. The only real way around it with them is to app for new cards once your profile improves.

All that said, congratulations on getting unsecured, enjoy it.
