Updated!!! Amex Hilton Honors Credit Card's bonus points

Havent seen anything on here yet, Just got an alert that today the Amex Hilton Honors Cards recieved a sign up bonus points increase.

The increases are the cards are the following:

The hilton honors amercain express card now 75,000 bonus points + 50 dollar statement credit , same 1000 spend 3 months, no fee ( orginally 50,000 points only)

The hilton honors ascend card is now 125,000 points, same 2000 spend 3 months, 95 fee (orignally 100,000 points)

The hilton honors aspire card is now 150,000 points, same 4000 spend 3 months, 450 fee (Orignally 100,000 points)

The updated bonus points dont seem to be live yet on american express website. US credit card guide posted up the following links to apply to the cards with updated bonus points if anyone is interested.

Defintely tempted on the Ascend for the extra 25K, if they waived the AF it'd be even better.

Will have to seriously think on this versus the SPG.

Are Hilton points really only worth 0.3 to 0.4 cents per point at the better properties (30K-80K/night category hotels) as I read recently on a reputable website?

Yes but the counter-argument people will make is the ease of getting those points. Combine what you earn already with the card and the increased rate with Diamond status you can build up a lot of points quickly.

Ugh this is so tempting but i think I will stay in the garden lol.

Doubt I would be approved anyways given I have a 3500+ balance on the Amex ED card for a balance transfer anyways. Got denied for the PRG couple months ago for the same reason so doubt the Hilton would be any different.

What are the chances Amex will match the new SUB? I just received my 100k SUB on the Aspire one week ago. Anyone have any luck getting them to match recently?

Just received an email from Amex about this today. I want to apply but my scores are too low right now. Maybe in a couple months. This card is definitely on my list competing with SPG.

Although, the direct link still shows a SUB for 100,000 points on the Ascend.

I found this information about the points difference, if you applied recently for one if the cards, on Credit Doctor Post
“That If you applied for this card recently then keep in mind that American Express doesn’t match bonuses, but they do offer courtesy points. Here’s what you want to do:
Don’t message, online representatives do not have the ability to award courtesy points.
Call and say you’re disappointed that a new higher bonus became available so recently after you applied.
The firs representative will usually not offer a full match for 50,000 points. Ask politely to escalate to a manage and repeat your disappointment.
Manager does have the ability to provide the full difference”

I'm a faithful Hilton Honors member myself, and yet I still find it hard to suck-up another $450 AF when most of what I see or read does not value the points very highly. As others mentioned, you do earn points faster with Diamond status but.... sigh... many hotels also don't have the Executive lounges so for each Pro there is a Con.

Q: Anyone on here have the Aspire card for very long and feel it's benefits / SUB (150,000 changes things!) make $450 worth it in the long haul?

Another update on Amex Hilton CC’s.

If you use incognito mode for the Amex Hilton Honors people have been getting 100k Bonus plus $100 dollar statement credit. ( originally new bonus was 75,000 points) with 1k 3 month spend , still no annual fee

For the Hilton honors ascend CC people are now getting 150,000 bonus sign up using incognito mode from the original updated 125,000 bonus sign up. With 3k spend in 3 months. $95 annual fee same.

Haven’t seen anything yet about the Aspire yet getting higher then the updated 150,000. Being now that with the ascend cc you can potentially get same sign up as aspire , they should increase aspire to 200k sign up bonus!

I'm a budget traveler and in my experience they've been worth about .5 cents each. But since the Hilton cards are so generous in making points available, it comes out OK.
