Orchard Bank CC

I have has an Orchard bank unsecured credit card for about 1 1/2 years. It started with a $300 limit and after 6 months, they upped it to $500. Has anyone requested a credit line increase from them. I want to increase my available credit to increase my scores. I have never been late and always pay more than the minimum.

they would only give me clis when they felt like it. But i just got an offer to apply (I closed them quite awhile ago.) I don't want another card so i didn't apply. They were much better than HSBC.

I think HSBC & Orchard are the same, different names same parent company.

I have 2 cards with them.

On one card, I got 2 increases from them without me having to ask for an increase.

On the other, I had to ask for the only increase I have received, which was $100, & I had to pay $25 to get it.

I'm in the process of trying to combine them. I should have asked for increases first!

It;s hard to believe they are the same company. I find HSbC much harder to deal with. Orchard is decent except for the a/f which they refused to drop. No fee on HSBC but high interest rate and you have to give them your first born to get a cli. I started with them in 11/03 and got 2 clis for a total of 900.00.

I never had to ask for cli from Ochard.

i believe if you look at the back of the orchard card, it says hsbc on it.

they are the same. I got them together after applying for Orchard,they sent me two cards.

I have the Orchard Card with a $300 cl and I asked for a cli at my 1 yr anniversary 03/09 and I received a $600 cli, for a total limit of $900. Same as you Danell, I pay more than the minimum. So, you may stand a chance of approval.GL!! Plus, your score are better than mines were when I asked for a CLI.

How long is the application process? I was pre-qualified for a card and when I applied it then said we'll contact you in 10-14 days. Is this normal or am I getting the run around?

It is HSBC so be prepared for anything.

Up to date status on my Orchard Mastercard Card...Opened on 04/08 with a $300 CL, 1st requested CLI on 03/09, received a $600 CLI, 2nd requested CLI on 09/09, received a $200 CLI. Today I logged in to my account and noticed yet another CLI of $200 (automated this time). NO fees (EVER) for any CLI's and NO hard pulls. I now have a total CL of $1300.

I did plan on calling for a CLI on 03/10, seems as though Orchard beat me to the punch this time! Should I settle for the $1300 CL or do as planned and call and request another CLI on 03/10?
