New Capital One CLI Form

I was requesting a CLI on my QuickSilver card the other day before trying to combine accounts and noticed the form is now different!

Now it asks your income, rent, credit card spend, projected spend on that card, and desired limit. It also gave me an immediate denial and reasoning (CLI recently on account) instead of a 2-3 day message.

It definitely seems like a lot of variables to consider in determing CLI but I just wanted to throw the info out there for anyone else who may be trying to get grow some CapOne cards, and maybe have a thread for data points if there are "sweet spots" for projected spend, etc.

Hmm, just tried a couple days ago for a CLI with them, this must be new. I'd much prefer an instant denial rather than that bogus 2-3 day drawn out denial lol 😂

I encountered the new interface when I requested a CLI in early August. I think it was first reported here about four or five months ago.

@LandoCredrissian, in a web browser, click into one of your cards, and hit the More Account Services link in the top navigation row. Request Credit Line Increase is in the bottom row of options. I assume that if you poke around, you'll also find this option in the app. Someone else can probably confirm that.

I can confirm that.. having just did it last week. They request items such as your income, increase requested, approximate monthly spend across all credit cards, approximate monthly spend on your Capital One card, etc. Both forms I submitted for 2 cards were successful in an increase.. it was one of the larger forms out there for requesting a CLI but self-explanatory.

Thanks HeavenOhio. I too recently requested a CLI but through the Cap1 app. 2-3 day message and subsequent denial. No instant denial or option to request a particular limit. My card, however, is a bucketed QS1 about to hit a 5th statement cut. SL is $300 and in credit steps Perhaps there is a separate interface for the bucket cards! Interesting nonetheless.

No, it's the exact same form across all my Cap1 cards. The only one different is the Kohl's.
